I'll be honest.... throughout the year I thought the 735s FOR SURE had a place in my bag when they were released.....when I found out about the 60s I wasn't even thinking those at all, still 735. However, when I hit them both my mind quickly changed.

For me, the 735s just did not feel all that great at all....very harsh (I hit stainless). Trajectory was also ridiculously high with them. The short irons were very compact, and coming from I-302 that was a fair change. I was left searching for irons. I had a chance a month later to try the 60s, and what a difference in the two. Feel was mizuno pure, trajectory was much nicer, and the irons were ever so slightly larger, which to me inspires confidence. In the end, I decided to order some 60s for next year, which I hope to receive in Febuary. There have been positive reviews for both sets, it comes down to what inspires you. I, however, would vote for the 60s. I think they look nicer in the bag too.

My vote is also for the mp60s. I had a similiar experience, although previously playing mp32s for a short time, wanted to find a good forged cavity back and loved the look of the 735 when I first looked at them back in late August. Although wanted to wait and see the 60s. When I first laid my eyes on the mp60s, my first thought was this was the best looking iron I've ever seen in my life. Absolutely have almost the same look as the mp32, but to me even better. That alone sold me. To me they have to look incredible and the mp60s to me do. I've got them and absolutely love them , they are sweet. I've hit some great shot with them in just the 4 rounds that I've used them, including a 6 iron from 175 yds to a foot which i won't forget. Good luck!!

Mizuno's. Butter soft and attractive to look at which in my book setting over the ball is very important. The Titleist were just to rounded in the short irons.

I hit the MP 60, MP 32, 735.CM chrome, 690.CB and the J33 Combos all with DG S300 shafts last weekend. I didn't notice any significant distance differences in any of these clubs on well struck shots except for a lower trajectory on the 735 and J33 and the short irons suffered more distance loss than the others on hits towards the toe. Accuracy throughout the set for me was a tie between the 60's and the 690's, I was consistently hitting targeted areas on the range with both these sets the 32's and J33 were not far behind but they just didn't do it for me and the 735's were dead last in this category for me I was just all over the place with these not distance wise but left to right. Feel was hands down both mizuno sets for me 32's and 60's in that order very soft at impact, it was easier to tell where the ball was stuck on the 32's than the 60's, followed by the J33, 690's and 735's the titleist clubs just feel harsh and heavy at impact to me. In the end I had a decision to make 60's or 690's and Mizuno won based on feel and price. Just my .02 cents, you really have to go and hit the clubs and make the decision based on what's best for you

To me they are both in a different class.

735 is more of a players club compare to the MP60 IMO.

The feel of softness are come from the carbon steel grade they are using and a little techniques of forging it. The design will play some effect also on feel. I feel the short iron of the 735 are most soft and solid and the long iron are almost the same in the carbon steel version on 735.

They are both made in China now, which IMO will not that much different in manufacturing them.

The sole grind is pretty similar, except the mp60 is probably a bit wider.

J33 combo is almost in the same class w/ 735 but imo they hit a little higher and a they have more camber than the other two. J33 is probably one of the best feel out of this 3 choices.

Design wise, I personally like the 735. I'm thinking of getting the stainless and grind the top line a bit thinner and sharpen a hair on the leading edge to suit my swing style and like. If i do really like the perfomance, I would probably go double nickel and satin chrome them for enhancing the feel.

They are all good iron, you just have to pick that fit w/ your swing and ability to swing it and at the end pick the right setting ( flex, lenght, sw, grip size, etc )

Good lUck!

I bought the Titleist 735.CM forged chrome. The MP-60s are great irons and do have a little softer feel, but the 735s allow me to do more. Launch monitor testing showed the MP-60s hit the ball higher ( more spin ) than the 735s for me. As Joe pointed out, the 735s have a narrower sole than the MP-60s and that's ultimately what my decision came down to. I now regularly use my 8-PW for chips around the green with no worries of a wider sole interfering with my intended shot. Something I found kind of interesting: the "blade-like" MP-32 has a wider sole than the cavity back MP-60....unusual.

Have not hit the MP-60s, but I have had the chrome 735s and the MP-32s and I find the 32s to be the superior clubs. Feel, control, workability, trajectory manipulation all better for me with the 32s.
