Bridgestone j33r 420 & 460

Has anyone hit both of these if so what is the difference besides the size?

I have owned and hit both the 420CC and 460CC 9.5 while testing the same shafts in both heads. The 420 CC launches 1/2 to 1 degree lower than the 460 CC. The 420 looks a little smaller, is more mutted in sound, and feels a little more solid and slightly easier to work. The 460 is a little more forgiving. Both are outstanding heads- just a preference thing.

...having also played both, imo the 460 is more than a "little" more forgiving. it is a higher but very flat ball flight. i really liked the 420, but i love the 460.

... on center hits? no. but the 460 gets a better average distance when hit a little toward the toe or heel.

the 460 is indeed very forgiving off the heel (where I miss).. it's my backup driver only because it's not as hot as my Tour FT-3...

it's a no brainer for the going rate of 250-260 new ebay price.

I was able to get a new 420 on ebay for 199. Thought that was a great price. So far, I love the look and feel of it. If only I can remember to square my shoulders so I dont hook it.

I was lucky enough to test these both of these heads on the Bridgestone Launch Monitor. The 420 does launch slightly lower but feels better. The 460 also has less spin. Which for me was difference, I needed more spin? Yep, because I changed my swing to shallow out my downswing I am now not creating nearly the same spin. I'm also launching lower, so my new swing gets a 10.5 420 head with a higher launching shaft.
