Piretti / Evnroll / Sik arm lock

I have been putting with the arm lock style putting for the past year but I want to treat myself to a milled / forged putter. I am currently playing with an older model Ping 2i head and when looking at a replacement, I am trying to decide if there is a reason to go with new technology in the putter. A couple of the makers do not make an arm lock, but I would probably purchase a used one and make it up myself if the mfg won't do a custom order.

 

Other than the Evnroll, the other two are not available anyone near me for try one out. I am sure all 3 are very nice putters.

 

Piretti Potenza 2 or Cottonwood 2 - milled face

 

Evnroll 1.2 - milled sweet faced technology

 

Sik Pro C - milled defending loft technology

 

It is my understanding that for the most part, milling or deep milling will make the putter feel softer vs no milling. What I am not clear on is if the "technology" milled faces really bring anything to the table or are they just marketing features. I have read a lot of other posts about grooves and whether they do anything or not. So for those of you that have used one of the above brands, what are you thoughts / opinions on purchasing with / without "technology"

It's a stable again.

 

The DF is 34.5 inches and D7 at 482g

 

The Evnroll Tour Mallet is 34.25 inches at D8 and 498g.
