Beyond Power Shaft for Driver

Hi guys,

 

I currently play the Ryoma F3 fairway wood with the Beyond Power shaft made by Graphite Design specifically for Ryoma (please correct me if I'm wrong). Amazing club. Distance, forgiveness and, did I say LONG?!

 

I am interested in getting the BP shaft for my Ping G400 MAX driver. But since the FW shaft is a little whippy, it would have to be an XS...

 

My question is does anyone play the BP shaft in their driver? Would it even fit in my Ping adapter?

 

Any info greatly appreciated.

For what its worth, I liked PRGR wood shafts so much I stuck one in my Ping Rapture. I had no issues, even with the addition of the adapter. Just trimmed a bit of the tip. As long as your diameters are the same, you shouldn't have any issues. Account for the tip adapter. Without a little trim, the tip will be a bit more "active".

ive played both versions of the beyond power shaft in driver and yes it will fit the ping adapters or any adapter requiring a 0.335 tip. I found the original ( black ) shaft to be the more impressive shaft vs the beyond power + ( white ) shaft. The beyond power shaft has an infinity flex which is supposed to be able to handle all swing speeds but I would say that it is best used in the 85-95mph region.

 

* depending on how you load the shaft and your angle of attack and preferred ball flight as well as desired feel

been using the beyond power plus in a ryoma, with the PRGR black monitor I have swing speeds that registered as fast as 117. I'm around 110 with another driver of mine. most end up being 111-114 with the beyond power plus so I wouldn't limit yourself to trying it if you have a faster swing.
