Howdy from Los Angeles

New guy here! Live and work in LA (near Westchester for the locals), play all over Orange County and up in the Valley mostly.

Long story short; started playing golf when I was around 8 years old with my dad and it quickly became all I cared about. Was a pretty solid player by my early teens and was All-Conference every year on my high school team where we also won our conference three of my four years. Kinda blew it my senior year and didn't make it to college play. After my dad (also my #1 playing partner) passed away in 1999, I didn't play more than a couple times a year for a long time. Every couple years I'd SAY I'd get back to playing regularly but it didn't happen till the end of last year when a new hire at work - I'm a software engineer - started getting all the other players in the company together for some outings.

And that did it. "HE'S BACK!"

It was a real bummer to see how bad my game had gotten - it was tough to break 100; which sucks even more when you used to be regularly around par. So I made it my goal to get at least back to a single digit index by the end of 2019. Currently at an 11 ... so still a little bit of work to do; largely tightening up my short game.
