Looking for a good carry/stand bag

Purchased a titleist bag in 2000 and loved the thing. It was super comfortable to carry, the straps were cushioned and it just felt good walking with it. A few weeks ago I was walking and the shoulder straps literally snapped on me. Probably from old age. I purchased a new Titleist stand/carry bag and it is the most uncomfortable bag I have ever owned. I feel like I am going to rip my shoulders out every time I try and but the two straps over my shoulders and the shoulder straps are super uncomfortable. The bag sits horribly against my back and I literally need to slam the bag off the ground to get the stand to kick out. Does anyone have any recommendations for a comfortable stand/carry bag that mimics the titleist bags of the early 2000's ?

Dont know if it mimics but the Sun Mountain 4.5 should pretty much be the standard for carry bags. Full dividers, water bottle pouch, solid straps, large pocket for clothes/shoes, etc. I've tried a few other brands and keep coming back to them. I'm considering the 5.5 now as I tend to ride and push most of the time so having the lighter weight isn't as important.

I just went thru this a month ago... I bought and tested Ping Hoofer/ Taylor Made Flex/ Sun Mountain 4.5 in my house so I could return the ones I didn’t like. I kept the Sun Mountain 4.5. I liked the Combe of pockets/weight/etc..... The Ping and Taylor Made were nice. I just didn’t like the way they bent and the bottom of the bag when the legs were engaged(slight club tangle).

 

So Sun Mountain 4.5 for me

I have a callaway and it’s nice but a little heavy, my high school golf team bags were ping and they were really good if you don’t need a lot of storage
