Jones Varsity Bag

Just stumbled upon the new Jones Varsity bag. Hoping the straps work better than previous stand bags. Love the pocket layout and color.

Just saw that, too. I had just been emailing back and forth with a rep over there about the Utility Stand bag and it being discontinued... The Varsity looks like it's replacement and I really dig it. I would like to see it in other colors as well, but I like it. I do not like the Utility Trouper, much prefer the smaller top and overall vintage look. Will be keeping my eyes open for other colors.

Looks promising! I too ordered the Utility Trooper and was less than impressed. Just a rebadged Nike and hate the top and the foot. Been looking for a Utility so the new varsity might work.

Not too impressed...really just a tweaked Utility. I have a Utility and don't use it (it's my third fav out of 3 stand bags). Utility Trouper was a weak effort. Jones needs to step it up a bit. Look of Utility, with a real double strap and a top cuff grab handle.

Was just looking at the Linksouldier on the Linksoul site. It has the grab handle, 4 way top and just enough pockets... I may give it a go.. I love my Utility and am also considering the Varsity, but I will agree, a grab handle would be nice. I just don't like the exterior leg mechanism on the Linksoul..... one of the things I love about the Jones.

Varsity looks great. I see they have some new colors in the players series as well.

Linksouldier does look very nice. Hadn't really considered that as an option before. I'm going to hold out a bit and see what Stitch is going to do w/ the SL2. There will def be some additional colorways coming. Looking forward to see what they look like.

I actually went ahead and ordered the Linksouldier last night.... I subscribed to the emial list so I got 15% off and they only have a few gray ones left... I really considered the blue also... I love the Jones bags but I like the 4 way top and the grab handle on this one so I have to give it a go even though I do not need another bag... LOL There are like 60+ reviews for this bag on the site and people seem to love it.

Anyone pull the trigger on the Varsity bag yet? I'm curious on actual reviews after reading about the strap issues on some jones bags. Just love the look.

I use my Jones Utility on my Clicgear 3.5+ all the time... looks like the Varsity is the newer version of the older Utility but basically the same dimension, just different pocket layout. The only "issue" is that the bag is a little smaller so the straps have to be tightened more but it has been completely fine on my pushcart. I'd stay away from the Jones Original and maybe even Players series if you are planning on pushing... they just don't have as good of a structured body for a pushcart IMO.

Anyone have direct experience with the Jones Varsity stand bag? Looks like their simplest bag that has a stand. Also seems to come w/ a big boy main shoulder strap (i.e. the same one as the Jones Original) combined with a smaller second strap, only one of their stand bags that does.
