What am I looking at? Probably a shaft extension on the butt end of a graphite shaft? Thanks!

What a pain to take off.

Usually just easier to use tape to build up the differing diameter.

How far does the metal extension goes into the butt of the shaft ? Better have a firm connection to the shaft because if there s any gap, will cause the shaft to splinter.

A very strange extension, Nothing wrong if the user is not a high speed swinger and this is not a shaft used in golf clubs contacting the turf ( fairay woods, hybrids, irons ).
