Any difference between HZRDUS Black 105 and the smoke black 100 hybrid shaft?

Does anyone know how these compare if at all? Im looking to get one or the other for a 3 iron/driving iron set up but the true temper site doesnt make any discernible distance and I cant find any comparison of the shafts. Is the black the original tour only one and the smoke the retail offering? thanks in advance

I have hit both, in a 2 iron. The HZRDUS 105 " feels" a little more stout, the Smoke " feels" a little more smoother. Performance was identical. I would pick the one who's weight feels better, the Smoke a tad lighter.

Agreed with what the person above me says. The 105 HZRDUS was a "tour issue" model only, if that matters and was only available to certain dealers from what I was told. I spoke to my distributor last month about potentially ordering a Smoke 100 for a customer and was told they are currently OEM-made only right now. I guess all orders are being designated for the U-series driving irons right now. He said it may become aftermarket in the future but right now the only way to get your hands on it (at least in Canada "officially") was to get it stock in a club.

I haven’t tried the 100 v 105, but Across the board 60/70 grams smoke black v black the biggest difference I saw was softer feel and a touch more spin/launch. For me I did better with the black, but I do wish I could get the 100 smoke black for my 3UDI. I feel like the 90/100 black smoke would be perfect for DIs.
