Bushnell Pro XE Issues

I recently bought a bushnell pro xe and the jolt doesn't seem to be working. Every time I hit and object, I don't get any yardage, the dashes just stay as the circle comes up.

 

Has anyone else had this issue before? Or is familiar with what's going on? Do I need to set it up properly

You have to start to the side of the object and it jolts when you scan to the flag. If you are aiming at the flag and hit the button than no jolt.

@Stetson so I'm not at a range or anything and I'm trying to hit items in my neighborhood. What do you mean by start on the side of the object?

The jolt happens when it confirms you have hit a precise target like the flag (lots of flags have something on top of the flagstick for the laser to easily bounce back to the device). That’s the point of the system, to confirm you are hitting the flag and not the tree behind it.

You should be getting yardage though for anything you shoot even though you don’t get the jolt, so that part is weird.

Not true on the XE.

 

Lets say you want to shoot a flag at 180 yards.

1) Aim at flag, push button, reading = 180, NO Jolt occurs

2) Aim 15 feet left of flag, hold button, scan to the right, unit picks up flag and reading = 180, Jolt occurs

 

it only gives the Jolt feedback when you scan onto an object, not when you aim directly at it to begin with.

must make sure you are holding button, then drag crosshair onto flag, and should jolt, that how I've been doing it
