Want to change to graphite iron shafts, steelfiber fc90 / 115 stiff vs KBS TGI 95?

Hello all, my first post here

Handicap at 6, with a fairly smooth tempo / swing

6iron SS - 85mph +/-

driver SS - 100+/-

Currently gaming Mizuno MP20 HMB 4-P modus 105R (stock OTR shafts), finding dispersion to be all over the place and would like to change my shafts

I have tested

Recoil 95 - finding it to be too soft

steelfiber i95 - too stiff and boardy

KBS TGI 100 - good smooth feel but feels too stiff, also, QC issues with splintering?

For now, i am eyeing for steelfiber fc90 / 115 stiff and KBS TGI 95 which i could not find any demos to try it

Does anyone know what SS is SF90FC / 115FC suitable for? could not find much information about it.

Would love to hear your thoughts or recommendations on other graphite shafts, thank you!

I prefer graphite shafts in my irons and my swing speed is similar. For the last several years I've used Aldila NV105 Pro shafts in stiff flex and I love them.

 

At one point I grabbed a set with Steelfiber stiff shafts and found them to play too stiff for me. I'd be curious to try them in regular or at least soft-stepped but the NV's make me happy.

I think you might be confusing the i-series steelfibers with the FC's that the OP is asking about  (if the OP is actually still around - doesn't seem to be an active account).   FC's are much softer - even softer than the UST Recoils.

 

I wouldn't worry about trying other shafts, at least not until it comes time where you need a new set and can't get the NV's any more.  And at that point, who knows what else might be available.     BTW,  I'm still gaming the vs-proto 100's.
