the only other course I wish was on the list would be #4. 
 

What are some must go to places with solid food and solid bourbon selection?

Which Forest Creek Course you playing? Try to get on North, bermuda greens are in perfect shape. Played both courses 4 days in a row end of August. South is bentgrass and 3 weeks ago they were appallingly slow. Both courses are spectacular though, wonderful Fazio work.

Playing the North Course.  Was told the south greens were still slow and the north was pure

Since you’re there now, see if you can try the elusive Woodford Reserve Pinehurst Bourbon.  Good Luck.

The tavern at the Holly had a pretty good bourbon selection - better than anything else we found at the other resort bars/restaurants.  The brewpub had a good North Carolina rye, but otherwise the whiskey selection wasn't great.
