Did you hear Lerner call Faldo's Browning rifle a "brownie" rifle? To which he tries to correct himself by saying, "I didn't know, I don't hunt." Are you sure Rich? I would imagine you to be an avid outdoors man, much like Davy Crockett. Friggin' tool.

Agree... both KT and Lerner have worn out their welcome. KT''s non-stop/non-value commentary is painful - she continues to either state the obvious or provide 'mindless filler' - and probably most importantly, she doesn't bring out the best in Faldo. Faldo does much better w/the CBS gang. Ref Lerner, as someone already noted, he appears to be attempting to be this generations Jack Whitaker - unfortunately he's trying to hard and falling short. Its a shame, but i hit the 'mute' button as well. Hopefully, mgmt at TGC will make some needed changes.

I think most all of the commentators on TGC are pretty bad. The people I can stand listening to are people like Faldo and Dotty Pepper and the likes that have been in those situations. I really can't stand all the stupid stuff they try to talk about and "KT" babbles about anything and everything. The reason ESPN does so well is their hosts talk only about what is relevant and useful to the topic, and they are quick to the point. I think TCG hosts need to work on that rather than just filling air time with anything they can think of. I've resorted to recording all golf and watching it on mute most of the time. just my .02

Remember that most golf announcers spend most of their time saying things like "If he expects to win this week, he's going to have to make some crucial putts" and "Hitting fairways and greens is a necessity on this golf course."

They might as well say "The winner this week will have to shoot a lower score than everyone else."

Rich Lerner's smarmyness reminds me of John O'Hurley & James Lipton, except I don't hate O'hurley or Lipton. After a minute of Lerner time, I feel like I need to take a shower.

All of the above are true. Low budget, mindless drivel, endless promos, endless graphics, and when they do show golf it's...."while we were away" or "just a moment ago". Don't they ever show anything when it is actually happening? NO. Too busy with their promos and on and on and on. I emailed programming the other night and told them if they had one more promo and one graphics shot they would be worse than HSN.

I agree 100% on Lerner...he's a waste of air time.

Kelly Tilghman needs to go, too. There's a British female announcer I hear from time to time (european Tour?) who is quit good---the should hire her.

One thing about KT, though....her girlfriend is supposedly the "best looking woman you'll ever see," according to someone who has seen her.

Well, if TGC is watching this board and counting negatives, inlcude my vote for Lerner and Hammonds riddance.
For me jury is still out on Tillman, could be should be coached ? Certainly needs to improve. Possibly by saying less.
