Selling a full vintage set from 60s

In the next few weeks or so I want to sell a full vintage set that has been together since the late 60's. While reading the BST rules it appears that a full set may be a violation (too many items)? Was looking for either clarification or advice on how to sell a full bag of 15 vintage clubs as the next owner is going to want them that way.

The way I read that is that yes I can sell one item as a lot of 10 irons... but they are not available separately from the set. The deal has to include the irons, woods, and the bag because that's where the value is (real and intrinsic) for the future owner. The item is a 60's  FULL set with the original sales receipt and box labels with headcovers in an original bag. Depending on how you count there are a wild number of items from 1 (my view) to maybe 20 as someone who may take offense in someone selling a full set because the limit in an ad is 10 for any one item.

I'm trying to get clarification to not cause issues.

List the items as

1- set of irons

1- Driver with headcover

2- Fairway woods with headcovers

1- Bag

etc.

 

Total in my example would be 5 items.

Boxes and receipts do not count as items

If I understand correctly you have

a set of 10 matched irons-one item

woods -however many you have-driver, 3,5,7 would at worst be 4 items

bag-one item

 

I'm not a mod but I would say that would be ok.

But they are not available individually as I don't plan to break up the set. I'm thinking this may not be the right venue for this type of item, which is okay...

All you have to do is specify that you are selling all of the items listed as a set only and fix one price for the lot. I do not believe there is any BST restriction that prohibits you from doing so.

I hope you are right... however the rule that says that each item must have a price is where I might get snagged. So maybe this might work?

 

A set of 10 irons $xx

Four wood set with covers $xx

Putter $xx

Bag $xx

*Only sold together as a set... for $xxx

 

I don't mind to try it I guess... but will I have issues if someone says "I'll take the irons" (because each item has to have a price)... and then I get called out for not selling something as listed?

If you list that way and someone says they want to buy the irons you don't have to sell them and can just say no only selling as a set. The only thing you could get called out for is agreeing to sell specific items and then backing out. I would count what you have listed as 7 items and see no problem with only wanting to sell as a set.

I believe you are reading too much into the phrase - All items must include a sale price, including items listed "For Trade".

 

The intention, as I understand it, is to make sure you list a price for what you are selling and you are not simply listing it for Trade... so if you are selling everything as a complete set you only need to list one price.
