Black Friday / Christmas / Boxing Day Sales 2021 for golf equipment - what are you expecting in terms of deals/mark downs - Will there be more or fewer sales/specials?

Given the supply chain issues resulting in shortages of clubs and balls, I doubt there's going to be a whole lot of product sitting around that needs to be discounted.

I talked to a friend a while back that has in an interest in a green grass that also sells a lot of golf equipment. He said they had their best year ever in their many years of operation. I also have heard that this is true of the golf industry in general... so given this, plus that the demand seems to still be out running supply... I don't think we are going to see much beyond the usual manufacturer price drops on stuff that is getting ready to be replaced in the next 6 to 12 months.

I'm with the above, I don't expect much. Sales have been strong across the board and it's not like there's a ton of excess unsold inventory to blow out. I haven't seen the same great deals from retailers or even companies further along the inventory chain that would be used for clearing out inventory, save for some 2nd swing sales. There used to be deals to be had in many places if you just sniffed them out, I haven't seen that in a long time.

 

But I'd gladly be wrong and surprised. 🙂
