The Best 3-Wood Metalwoods Of All Time?

For me its the Titleist PT 15 degree.  The original 1992 with the parallel shaft not the bore through re-pop with the tapered shaft.

For me the TM M6 is the best fairway wood I have ever hit. Yep, the nonadjustable, bargain basement original Twist Face TM.  I have tried many a "better" fairway wood, and am not adverse to change in the least, but nothing outperforms them. Brother pointed out, "How many 4 generation old, economy end of any manufacturers clubs are still going for $175-&250 on EBay? There is a reason for this, if you know, you know".

I use an updated version from Japan, called Royal Collection. Mine is the V7 Ti17. It's my favorite club right now. Off the deck, off the tee. Perfect size.

i prefer a much smaller head on the fairway woods big heads i cant hit on the deck

yes that is why I tried them, i like the smaller heads but could not find the right shaft combo with them

Right now, I'm loving my Cally 2Deep.  Not sure that counts as a 3 wood, but it holds that spot in my bag.

 

Favorites from the past are Sonartec NP-99 and GS Tour.  I still have them, and they make it back in the bag from time to time.

 

I used to have a Cally Warbird 4 wood that I hit on a rope.  That was one of my favorites of all time.

Hit my ping 300 off the deck today at river wilderness, zingers old course near Bradenton today on the 5 par 11th, got down in 2 for birdie.  Nice course, recommended!

That’s a great call there! Long forgotten. 

 

 I absolutely love the way an Adams Tight Lie plays, especially the 16’s, but let’s just say they missed the cosmetic part to be kind. Too easy to go under in the long grass with the shallow face also. 
 

 Hey now that we can have 18 clubs in the bag we can have two 3 woods to go along with our 4 wedges

The 3.5 Sonartec 3 wood addressed this to some extent and it was aimed at better players. Very low spin, low trajectory and awesome carry. I also have a 16 degree Sonartec hybird which does amazing things ,for me at least.

 

If Macgregor persimmons are true vintage clubs (which of course they are) then Sonartec are 'Post Vintage Thoroughbreds'.
