SIM2 making a high pitched metal sound when hitting

I was hitting a SIM2 8* driver in my garage set up. It was good for the first 60 hits. After that, there would be a high pitched metal sound and felt like I didn’t hit the ball hardly at all. The ball speed numbers are only a fraction low of where they were. 
 

Is my driver head about to break? Is it something with my shaft? Help!

I had a SIM MAX driver that cracked.  I could see a tiny crack in the face right above the sweet spot.  It made a weird sound when it happened off the tee.  My cousin heard it as well and commented on it before I got the chance to even speak.  Never quite felt or sounded the same after and yes, ball speed did drop a bit.

There have been many reports of Sim 2 drivers cracking.

OP Did you get it sorted with Customer Service yet? They can be picky with pictures sometimes but make sure you get something documented. They are usually good about replacing. I am on my third between SIM/SIM2 my buddy who I play league/sim league with is on his fifth between cracked and concaved. Really hoping the Stealth face is as strong as they are advertising.

I took the shaft out and inspected the shaft and the head. I left it without a shaft for the night and put it back in the next day. The sound was back to normal. It happened a second time, but after pulling the shaft again it was fine.
