Vessel bag zipper broke again

Apparently this happens to a lot of members at my club. It happened to me before but my bag was under warranty. A couple of these members have tried to take it to a luggage or shoe repair place and they couldn’t do it. Anyone here know a solution?

I don’t have an answer for you other than to ask Vessel and maybe they will step up and replace it.

That said, as expensive as their bags are they should really take a hard look at their quality control.  I have both their cart (lux xv) and carry (vls lux) bags and love the look, but really dislike the design and quality.

 

- on the design side both bags need a matching towel ring/hook on the other side of the bag. one is not enough.

- cart bag needs a place to put your glove to dry out after use (Velcro anyone)

- carry bag needs a larger water bottle holder to accommodate modern stainless steel bottles i.e. 18-22oz (it’s already starting to fray)

- the valuables storage pockets are way to small on both bags and need to be made from a different/stronger material (it’s basically a very lightweight fleece like material with very thin stitching). I’ve ripped a hole in both of them already and it’s been lees than a year. Luckily both were under warranty and were replaced.

Couldn't agree more... the collar handle snapped off on mine last weekend and while it's 2.5 years old, it has only been used ~40 rounds and isn't kept outdoors or in the heat. I was told there was nothing they could do besides give me a 20% off coupon for a new one.

Thanks for posting this, I was thinking about getting one, but have decided against it.   Their quality/quality control definitely seems lacking.   I've seen frayed straps, broken pieces, cart strap damage, etc.  What was really shocking was Camilo Villegas's frayed strap from the RBC last week.

I saw they are being offered at golf galaxy now and wonder if the quality is slipping now that they are being sold at big box stores. Got the DRX or DLX bag a month ago and I really dislike the zipper on the ball pocket it tends to stick. Other than that i really like the bag

UPDATE- Found a shoe guy that is pretty sure he can fix it for $40. We'll see

I know this is a very old thread-- but if you guys still have those bags laying around...

Had the same issue on my Vessel Player III side zipper. I managed to cut the material away to free the zipper ends and slid the zipper pull off. Unlikely traditional zippers, there's no zipper bottom on the side zip-- just the seams of the bag holding the zipper in place. With the pull off, I noticed the bottom end of the pull had spread too wide. I widened it a bit with a pair of pliers to slide the pull back on, slid the pull about 1/4 up the teeth(as if zipping up the bag) then used pliers to squeeze down the bottom of the pull. When I unzipped and re-zipped, the teeth interlocked and we're back in business. I wish I had taken some photos throughout the process, but it took me about 10 minutes and saved me from buying a new bag. Cheers
