PDX Golf Show

Anybody make it to the golf show in Portland yesterday or plan on going this weekend?  I sucked it up and went up about noon from Salem.  Wasn't excited about the venue change to the Expo Center, but I was happy to see the golf show back.  Nothing earth shattering about the show but all in all I thought it at best okay.  While Redtail and Fiddlers each had a small booth, they brought no merchandise.  I spoke with the gal from Fidds and she told me several reasons why they brought no merch, but it sounded like the bigger reason was staffing.  

Par West picked up their game from the last show and brought some merchandise and their sales seemed to good from the amount of people at their booth.  Picked up some Mizuno gloves from them and after I left wished I'd bought every XXL they had. 

Hit a few Mizunos and fell in love the the Mizuno Pro Fli Hi driving iron.  Best feeling club I've hit in that category.  I carry a 5 wood that I love so it wilkl be hard to let that go from my bag so I will head up to Fidds one day and demo it on the range.  Rep says 4-6 week lead time.  Mizuno, Tour Edge, Cobra, and Cobra were there and maybe a couple others but I forget exactly who.  No Titleist though.  

Spoke with Peltzer rep a bit and fondled the new GP CPx grip.  Decent price point, seems tacky, and feels like it will take some absorption from my hands.  I might have their rep drop me off a couple next time he makes a delivery to my local course. 

Of course I entered multiple drawings for trips and what not.  I think I sat in traffic longer headed home  then I spent at the show.
