What a lot of great information, thanks. Regarding the Hebron book; there are several books mentioning the Inside and Outside written by Mike Hebron and/or Michael Hebron. I didn't see one with the exact title you show in the last post. Can you tell me which book it is exactly?

I have the original, and I think it was called "See and FEEL the INside Move the OUTside" just as the current version is titled.....I know it's been revised a few times and I've got a current copy sitting on my desk as I type this........Hebron's book and Hogan's 5 Lessons were my "manuals" and the video camera was my eye when I rebuilt my own swing.......Hebron's book will help you understand 5 Lesson's a LOT better.......at least it did me........ ;)

Thanks, I'll look for it. I was reading the excerpts of one of the books at Amazon and the text mentioned how changing your spine angle changes what you're trying to do with the swing - or words to that effect, sorry. At any rate, I know my spine angle is all over the place. It comes up on the back swing, up and down on the downswing, my hips move towards the target too much from the top of the back swing start of the downswing which causes me to come from the inside, etc. I'm seen this on video and work on it constantly. Hard to stop something you can't feel though, especially the up and down. I've been thinking of putting a piece of rope around my neck and standing on it with my right foot to keep my spine from coming up. I don't know how that would help the hip slide though.

I haven't read your entire compilation yet, but how do you stop your students from changing their spine angle up and down in the swing? Is it the butt turning and staying back on the back swing? Or the address position? Any suggestions?

Thanks again for all the time you put into the forum.

It's all in the SET UP........I know I've posted some fairly detailed explanations, but, you get the angles correct at address for the shot your trying to play and then it FEELS like your basically just "winding and unwinding"......there IS lateral motion but it's contained within the rotary motion and you don't feel it........MOST people who "lose their angles" weren't on correct ones to begin with......OR they are FORCED to "lose their angles" to square up the face.........in my experience it's normally a bit of both......... :ok:

Damned flu is kickin' my butt........hope nobody else has it......it's run through my house and finally caught up with me......stinks.......

Sorry you're not feeling well. The flu can be a b****. Thank goodness I haven't had it for decades. Maybe I can teach you how not to catch the flu and you can show me what a good set up is. Nah, never mind. It probably has something to do with your school age son. My daughter is gone and out of the house. I'm sure I'd get more out of the exchange of ideas. :-)

Speaking of setup, I did think I was bent over too much when I looked at the last video. I'll look at your compilation to see if I can dig anything out of there, but if you're in the house anyway and sitting in front of the computer trying to take your mind off the flu - how do you determine the proper set up position in regards to how much a golfer should bend over? Should I just raise my address position until I don't see myself coming out of the spine angle on the back swing? The raise up starts at about the time my arms pass 9 o'clock. Perhaps that is the point I stop rotating and instead complete my swing by coming up with my arms? Hmmm. I'm sure there are some keys to look for regarding reaching, balance position, etc.... I'll go do a search in your compilation. Thanks.

Hmm, after a quick look at my latest video it seems to be more an issue of my shoulders stopping and my arms continuing which I think you have addressed earlier. When I set up with a 5 iron the shaft aimed just below my belt buckle and the angle is very close to 90 degrees with my spine and my hands are over my toes and just inside a line which would drop from my chin. I haven't found specifics in the compilation yet. I suppose it might depend on body type too.

In reading the Compilation page 100 I noticed you speak to the tour players having their shoulders 5 degrees open when compared to their hips. I've noticed that and wondered what that does for a player. I was taught to set up everything square from the top down. It would seem open shoulders would promote an easier turn through the ball. Can you tell me what this does for a player?

Feeling any better since I've been hammering you with questions? :)

I watched all the vids and still do not see which one is you are you the blonde guy in the tan pants lol

I am impressed thought with all of your students you got your message acrossed, they all swing left.

My first teacher had a wife and two daughters that swung the club just like him. Right or wrong it showed he was a great teacher , what he believed they did.

Now you know I do not believe everything you teach is right, but that does not matter. The videos show how well you teach it as all your students get the message.

You my friend should be very proud. But one thing loose the slice fixer nickname and come out under your name. I think you are and incredible teacher (again I do not have to believe everything you teach) but its fair to say your as knowledgeable as any teacher I have ever known personally. Which includes Manual Delatorre and Butch Harmon.

My hat is definitely off to you.

Lots of warm liquid to keep you hydrated ( make lots of trips to the bathroom to wash out your system ).

Chicken soup is great could add shreaded spinach leaf, otherwise, boil some ginger roots add a bit of brown sugar and drink it until your sweat breakout ( not a good remedy for those that has ulcer).

Sorry, I lost your email, please PM me to update.

I had retreived it from my mailbox THX.
