From the Green back

I always like to pick a ball that performs best around the Green then work back to Tee. I range around 270 with just about any ball so distance is not much a factor. There's really 4 balls I'm trying to pick from for my all time ball. Which of these would suit the best from Green back?

 

Maxfli Tour

Snell MTB not X

Any Vice ball

Srixon Q star Tour

Just start with a urethane cover then narrow it down by personal feel from there.

The only way for you to know which would work best for you is to get some of each and test them out.  How you like the ball to react when you hit different kind of chips and pitches is specific to you and no one else can tell you which one is best for the way you like to play shots.

I happen to be a fan of the Q-Star Tours - great ball IMHO. Super soft around the greens, more durable cover than the Z-Stars, and a decent price point (especially on sale). 

 

But, lots of good choices out there these days. Hard to go wrong if you find something you like.

Standard Z Star is used on Tour. Or try the new RXS.

I've tried the RXS and ruled it out. Didn't like it.
