Best LM for swing plane angle and club face angle

Been working with my coach for a while now on swing plane angle and club face angle. When we get it right it is a stripe show and I can play some crazy good golf (for me anyway). However it's like I need a reset every month of so and go back to my coach, get on the trackman and work back to getting everything in sync.

What I'm looking for is a (sensible) priced LM that will give me that data and I can take it to the range pre-round and just get in sync. I know the Mevo+ with the upgraded software can do this but I'd be worried about setting this up on the range every time and some of the inconsistencies the data can show.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

If you could set it up at the same place at the range every time that should reduce inconsistencies. If you are careful with the setup and know what can cause radar issues, the club path and  club face data should be good. Honestly I’ve found video at the range more valuable than any LM. (I do own a M+ with the pro package). Nice to see the speeds, carry #s, path and face #’s but reviewing positions to verify what you think you are doing vs what you are actually doing is more valuable IMO. Good luck!

Not sure what you mean by swing plane angle and a launch monitor. Launch monitors don't show swing plane angles. That's for video in something like V1.

As for path and face to path, hard to beat the mevo+ from a cost standpoint. The data is accurate, but it's not the quickest setup.

The bushnell launch pro will.setup quicker and will give accurate data with the dots on the clubs. But it's a higher cost device both initially and annually, compared to mevo+.  You also have to remove the dots before competitive play.

So that answers your question. Now I'll add my $.02:

As a non-pro, getting wrapped up in launch monitor data, pre-round, is no bueno. The launch monitor should be used during practice to check things like path, face to path, and AoA and using that data to reinforce moves. Pre-round warmup should be for

1. Getting loose

2. Getting tempo right

3. Checking the, no more than 3, keys that affect ballstriking.

#3 should come directly from launch monitor practice sessions.

I appreciate your critique of my pre-round warmup given your in-depth knowledge of my game.

I've had the misfortune of playing this game for over 25 years now and know my swing pretty well, I know what I respond well to in terms of finding my grove. For a long time my game struggles when my swing path gets too steep or on the inside. I know that and have worked with my coach to improve that, but over time these bad habits kick back in and I manipulate the ball flight subconsciously with my hands, a move that wont stand up to the rigors to tournament golf. Pretty much all of my coaching sessions work on resetting my path and face angle to neutral and the difference is noticeable.

I am not someone who can use a drill or the like to set these numbers, it's all feel for me and the feedback from LM data is invaluable.

Therefore, I'm looking for something that will aid me in making sure my swing is in the right grove and I'm not overcompensating for my natural tendencies. There is no consideration of getting wrapped up in data. The only correlation I'm looking for is that what I feel matches the data I see which I know will result in consistently good golf.

Trackman and Flightscope both measure horizontal swing plane (ie swing direction) and vertical swing plane, but not a normal metric that most coaches/students will work on. I am guessing OP meant swing path and face angle

With that being said, you are right, Mevo+ with the pro package is really the only option in the personal LM space. I guess there is the fullswing kit but that is still a bit iffy IMHO

There is also the GC3 which gives you path data. Based on launch direction and spin axis, you can get a rough idea of what the face angle was at impact
