Spalding Robert T. Jones Synchro Dyned

So I've seen some Robert T Jones models that are labeled "Synchro Stroke" and those are clearly from the 1960s era and most likely are a store line model.

What do you make of these.  These are marked "Synchro Dyned" which I thought was more of a pro model moniker.

It also looks like they have rocket shafts which I know came on the pro lines for a while.

It's a bit confusing to me, Maltby's doesn't go back beyond 1950 & doesn't even mention anything about Robert T Jones...all I can find is that Jones signed w/Spalding to put his name on clubs, which Spalding did and sold those clubs into the '60s. I have 2 sets of pyratone Robert T Jones Jr clubs, Kro-Flite (which was Spaldings standard until 1950 when they changed to Top-Flite), I also have 2 sets of RTJjr chrome steel shafted clubs...one, I asked about here in another post, that are marked "Synchro Stroke" (as you mention) w/red Rocket label shafts & the other is marked Stainless w/True Temper Dynamic TT shafts...I've regripped both of these sets.

Also mentioned that my Dad played w/a set of pyratone RTJjr Kro-Flite blade clubs that were from his older Brother)...Uncle Joe was a member of the original Tam O'Shanter Country Club outside of Chicago. He would never ever bought or played a retail set & I gifted that set to a Nephew who was interested in vintage, especially w/Clan history.

So a few questions: 

Did Spalding make Pro & retail at the same time?

Were both "pro" & "retail" sold/marketed as the same or were they special order?  

What would the differences have been between a pro line and retail/general line?

 

Sure wish Kaplan, as flawed as his guides are, had done one for Spalding.
