Philadelphia Golf Show in Oaks, PA

Don't waste your time or money going here. I checked it out today and it was embarrassingly bad.

Let me guess, 48 booths for gutters, roofing, CBD oil, car wax, investment advisors, and chiropractors, 1 for used golf balls, and 1 for a small selection of used clubs.

There is a reason why these shows no longer put a list of the vendors on their website.

I remember going to the golf show in Fort Washington in the early 2000s when it was just about 100% golf equipment vendors with all kinds of new/used/closeout golf stuff. Got a ton of great deals back then.

Lol pretty much dead on. I was expecting all the big names to be there with all the new stuff on full display to try out. My friend and I walked in and were just shocked. It was beyond pathetic to be honest. We did a quick walk around and left. They had a range area in the back but $6 to hit balls? We could've just gone to Golf Galaxy or PGA Superstore down the road and it would've been much better. Horrible.

It's a total joke.

I remember that the entrance fee got you a free subscription to Golf Digest for a year. All you had to was fill out a card and put it into one of those mini golf bag things. I must have filled out 200 of them - and the membership at my club all got the magazine free for a year. 😉

Kidding of course - but you get the point.

I used to go to the show in the DC area every year. Then several years ago it stopped being a golf show and I felt like I walked into a Home Depot or indoor flea market. Haven't been back since and don't miss it.
