Golfjoy New Launch Monitors? $399 & $3499 units??

This must be new, lots of data and seems legit?? First video was just put up 3 weeks ago. 

 

First is the $399 Golfjoy Waver Launch Monitor-

Multiple Data Points including :Ball Speed, Launch Angle, BackSpin,Side Spin, Carry Distance,Club Speed, Launch Drection, Height, Hang Time, Landing Angle, Smash Factor.
Also shows where on clubface the strike was! Shows spin axis as well?

Next is the GDS PLUS for $3499 that tracks everything?

Alright as exciting as it seems it apparently is hardware locked unless you pay $400 a year at least for the $3500 GDS. Not sure about the $400 Waver though. If it is that’s kind of crazy.

It gets you 30 courses and “unlocks”: 

• Additional Club Data : face angle, face location, club path, attack angle，smash factor

 

I think Swing Caddie SC4 and MLM2 and R10 are miles better now.

That’s hilarious 😂 This is getting soo confusing. It’s identical. Now I’m wondering if the “Waver” exists elsewhere with a different name.

On paper sounds great. But looking at the site, I have more questions than answers. For one, why do the yellow and silver Waver devices look like entirely different units. The site also looks like garbage. Typos, nonsensical phrases. The club data screen looks like it was stolen from Foresight. Lot of red flags. 

Might be the next best thing. But I'd tread very lightly.

That’s hilarious. It’s just supposed to be 2 different colors. The Camera/pinhole is in a completely different spot.

Maybe that’s a real feature? You hit balls in NY while someone in California remote controls the monitor. Probably has something to do with “switch the court”(one of the most asked about updates!)

This thing just keeps unravelling. So I tried to see if there are any other reviews on YT. When you search "Golfjoy Waver" one of  the first results is Golfzon Wave. Which looks very similar. But in this video they're saying the price is around $3k.

I wonder if Golfzon has a connection. I mean the word “Wave” is very popular in launch monitors 😏🙄

I wonder if they are somehow changing the case cause the case does look different.

Funny thing is the Golfjoy Waver video with the PGA pro looked legit. Ugh. 
Btw fun fact: Apparently GolfJoy and Greenjoy(big surprise) is the same company. Par2Pro actually just did a review at the PGA merchandise show and low and behold- It’s the Waver!

I’m guessing at least for the Waver at $399 there is no simulation. And also there’s a chance it could be hardware locked unless you get a subscription. Because if you’re not even getting smash factor on the $3500 GDS without a subscription, I find it hard to believe the Waver will give it free. And if all that is true this is pretty much a joke.

I just heard Waver is going to take at least 3 months to mass produce. Maybe when it goes on Amazon…..

Doesn't look like anybody has noticed yet, but "Golfjoy" is actually "Shenzhen Greenjoy Technology Co., Ltd", a manufacturer of simulators. I think this may be the first time we see a launch monitor come out of a Chinese manufacturer direct, which could explain the low price. Might be interesting if it's a performer, curious to see if it'll pop up on any China direct sites like Aliexpress.

I placed an order yesterday for the yellow monitor as the grey was marked as sold out, made a payment that was accepted, and now received an email with the following message.

us site hasnt been updated in over a month still says launching in june at 495 so i wouldnt even trust putting down a preorders worth on this.
