Relationship between driver loft and tee height - is there an ideal combo?

I realize there is a lot of discussion regarding driver loft and the various variables that determine what is best for each player (like angle of attack and swing speed), but I'm wondering how tee height and loft might be related.  Here's the background that leads to this question:

 

My driver is a 10.5 that is able to have loft adjusted + and - 2.  Recently, playing at the standard loft and after having a dissatisfying round with the driver, I started to tee the ball up higher, to where at least 3/4 of the ball was above the top of the driver.  I hit some of the best drives I've ever hit doing this, but also would pop the ball up several times a round.  So I then went the opposite direction (after doing some 'research'), and teeing the ball lower than one might expect, with no more than 1/4 of the ball above the top of the driver.  I hit some nice drives this way as well and avoided the pop-up, but the slice that had pretty much disappeared with the higher tee reappeared.  Now I'm thinking the next time I go out, I'll try playing with the low tee and the driver loft adjusted to the +2 position, which supposedly creates something of a draw bias.  Note that prior to this experiment with tee height, my normal tee height would still produce the occasional pop-up, so I kind of like the lower tee height that pretty much eliminates that completely.

 

The results of lower tee and more loft have yet to be determined, but it got me to wondering if anyone out here has experimented with tee height and loft and what the findings were.

Don’t expect that to work out for you like you’re thinking it will. The lower tee height more than likely is causing your path outside in and downward with maybe contact being lower on the face. All of that produces a spinny cut. Adding +2* of loft will essentially close the face angle at 3.2* or so and you’ll have to leave the face open to square it and add more loft and that will just cause it to spin more.

Probably has a lot more to do with inconsistent swing/delivery of loft.

There is no perfect tee height for a specific loft. But, there are ideal tee height for specific deliveries. Typically, those who prefer a near zero AoA will tee the ball lower than those who prefer a substantial + AoA.

 

Now some REAL food for thought. I play my driver at 10.5 and tee the ball as high as possible. I use 3.75" tees and barely stick then in the ground. My AoA goal is about 3* which gives me the trajectory and spin that I like. But, I hover the driver at address.

 

All that being said, you will just have to fool around until you find what's ideal for you.

No doubt, but since I'm no longer interested in seriously working on my game, I'm looking for the combo that gives me acceptable results with the greatest margin for error.  'Crushing' one (relative of course) followed by popping one up isn't very satisfying.

There are a lot of factors besides just tee height. First off I'd get numbers on a monitor to see where you are at. I personally tee a little lower to hit a cut and higher to hit a "bomb". I don't try to draw my driver, my 3w goes far enough and draws.

Right? I stick a 2 3/4 down in there a bit and have an +8* AoA. My 3w off about a bottlecap is almost 3* So individual.
