Iron shots too low

Can’t hold a green to save my life. Shots are compressed mostly out of the middle of the face but they’re just low piss missiles. Hitting a 7 iron here

if its any consolation when i hit a 7 iron flush it has a significant roll out. how does your pw-8 iron perform? Also your finish is kind of low from a shot shaping standpoint which is useful for longer irons.

It looks like you're running into the problem of not having enough speed to support this type of delivery. You're doing the DJ thing per your previous post where you're keeping the clubface extremely shut and turning hard, all of which it looks like you're pulling off, but it's producing a 7i clubhead speed in the mid 80's, which is far too low for how little dynamic loft this delivery produces. DJ's 7-iron is 15mph+ faster which is the kind of speed you need for a low dynamic loft delivery to work.

You're doing an admirable job of mimicking an otherwise pretty unmimickable swing, but it won't work without a lot more speed, and if forcing yourself into this framework is placing a cap on your ability to speed up then you'll end up a little stuck. If however it produces really consistent results then you might consider weakening your lofts to increase launch and spin.

Thanks for the compliment, I had no idea the ridiculous amount of work it would take just to get to this point so it means a lot. Definitely hear what you’re saying, more speed would mean more spin and obviously a higher ball flight. I was capable of swinging 95+ with a 7 before, swing isn’t 100% engrained yet so I have to keep it slow for now. But ball striking is 100% more consistent as far as contact and Face is concerned and handicap looks to be on its way down with the few rounds I’ve played this year so far. I’ll definitely keep weakening my lofts in mind, never thought of that solution, which may be the thing to do for now. Thanks a lot for the input
