Grayhawk Black & White Cards

Hey Everyone,

40yr 5hcp Golfer moving to N. Scottsdale later this year. I've seen the Scottsdale private golf membership world is crazy at the moment. Looks like I'll have to play on the public side for a few years and I noticed Grayhawk has their Black and White Cards. How hard is it to get these? Are they lottery based? I saw the cost in 2020 for the black was about 10k for the year, what do they cost now?

I am from Boston I travel to AZ 2-3 times a year and have a WT Card it cost me 1000 this year which got me 2 free rounds and about 50% off rack rate. Last couple years only shot you had was being previous WT and cost has risen alot over the 13 years Ive had but still consider it to be a value to me

Black card is nearly impossible to get. Long wait list and only a few (low single digits) choose not to renew. But you need to be 45+ rounds to make black worth it.

WT card is hard to get as well. Most renew (I have one) and if you want one - only a handful go on sale to the public. But there is a hack. Find out from one of the pro shop guys when they go on sale -- then on that day show up at the pro shop and buy in person at 6am. The online sales start at 8am or so - and sell out almost instantly. But if you wake up early -- you get the worm.

How much are the WT cards?

I'm renting in Venu next November to March and am interested in giving Grayhawk a whirl. Would mostly be playing on the weekends or sneaking out for 9 after work.

If there are any other suggestions in the area, please feel free to educate me. I do have a City card.

995 renewal 1500 if one is available been sold out for years

I think they were closer to $1700 this year.

They must have struggled to sell them out this year.

I signed up for the wait list on 12/13 (the last day it was available). Got an email the following week and a call saying it was available. I ended up turned it down because it's not worth (to me at least) $1600 to then have the opportunity to pay $175 or whatever per round.

Same they called me a couple times

Yeah I've benn on the list for a few years. I am not sure it is worth it though. Better off becoming a IG influencer and they will let you play for free like the barstool guys.
