New 2023 P7MC vs the old P7MC

Anyone hit the new and can compare it the old P7mc?

I have the previous model in my combo set with the ctaper 125 in it.  I hit it on our GCQuad along with this years MC with a ctaper 120 that I fit a customer into.  Other than slight cosmetic differences and maybe a touch less offset they are nearly identical.  I picked up 2 mph of ball speed with the newer model but I think it comes from the 120 shaft being better for me than the 125.

 

With the 120 in addition to the slight increase in ball speed, I had a little more peak height.  All this I contribute to the shaft.  I like the finish on the newer model.  Again, really no difference… just the finish, slightly less offset, maybe a minuscule smaller difference on the top line.  Both are great looking clubs!

I hit them today, I was honestly impressed. I felt that the ‘21 lacked pop. I would say instead of feeling like a CB they preform more like a t100 now. I also had 2-3 ball speed jump. Also this model doesn’t spin as much either (in a good way).

I liked the feel of the old. It was the muscle backed great feel. Any difference in The new feel?

I played the old for 2 seasons and have had the new in the bag for a couple of months. 

 

Not a major difference IMO. I think TM went with the "if it ain't broke" strategy. 

 

There are some subtle improvements in looks and turf interaction. These just go through the turf easy for me and leave little bacon strip divots. 

 

My distances haven't really changed at all from the previous model.

I don't think I had the privilege of playing the 300 forged. I understand that they are some of the best ever.

The MMT are fine shafts. They dampen everything and the MC are probably my favourite feeling irons they brought out. They are a lil softer than the prior model to me. I really enjoy the blade like look with a fraction of help they offer. With the MMT, they feel great and those misses sure do feel a lot better on the hands.
