Wilson Tour Block persimmon

A quick question for the Wilson guys on here...and I'm sorry I don't have photos or a Wilson Kaplan.

 

Anybody got info on the Wilson Tour Block persimmon with the white black white eom style insert? Date of issue and range of shaft flex would be a great start.

Had a quick look in Kaplan and couldn't find a Tour Block with a EoM style insert but did find the 89/90 Haigs with them so likely around then.

Is this the one you are thinking about? I picked this up from a thrift store because it was in awful shape and wanted the fun of seeing if I could get it back to playable. It was a few years ago, but if I remember correctly it was epoxy dipped, so there was a layer of clear epoxy around the whole head. OK, most of the head, the epoxy had started to release and chip, so it was coming off in places. I had to use a heat gun and a knife to carefully strip the epoxy off the head, then it refinished nicely.

 

I don't know what year it is, but considering the epoxy dip, the decals, and the overall look of the club, plus the noticeable gap of persimmon in the late 80s in Kaplan, I always assumed this was late 80s, perhaps early 90s. 

 

This is a nice club. Do you have one you are trying to get more info on or is this something you are looking for?

Thank you, that's the one. We don't see many, if any, of those in the UK...and one may have turned up. What nice grain, good and tight esp for a late persimmon era club.

Fabulous looking driver. Never saw that design in UK. Must have been USA or Asian markets mode. Grain is beautiful.

This is the best photo I can get at present. !,3 and 5 woods. They are on their way to me, more info later. The driver appears to have quite a deep face.

A buddy of mine bought a whole set of those in the mid-90s, probably closeouts sitting in some shop for a few years.  I still have a couple of the fairway woods that have barely been hit.  Some of the prettiest persimmons I've ever seen... but then the lighter stain and the bone/black/bone insert is my favorite look.  (I have a Ram driver in a very similar stain and insert combo.)

I have new set in the box, S400 stiff shafts 1,4,5.  They are pretty indeed.
