Pitchfix Fusion 2.5

Does anyone use a Pitchfix Fusion 2.5 divot tool? This is the one that has the 3 prongs that you supposedly just insert into the pitch mark and pull straight up. What has been your experience if you have used one? Do they work like they say?

These, IMHO, are the best tools on the market.  Every time I toss it to a partner, they can't believe how well they fix ball marks.

How well does it work when the ball craters the ground and soil is exposed? My course is firm but the grass is thin and its hard to repair larger marks completely.

These tools just flat out work, when soil is exposed, there is not much grass to save, but you can pull the soil up so the next putt stays on line.

They're excellent. However, they don't last. Seems I have to buy a new one every season, as the spring mechanism eventually breaks or gets clogged with dirt. I haven't tried disassembling and cleaning one.

I like the looks and idea of the switchblade, but have always held off due to concerns of longevity exactly like you describe. I did recently come across a Tour Edition version that is a single piece and not a switchblade. Think I will give it a try.

I'd be concerned with getting stabbed with the pitchforks in my pocket. Lol. Almost need a small nylon holder with a belt loop.

Am currently using the 2.5 switchblade as divot repair is excellent - spring mechanism will wear/break.  I have pitchfork as well but it felt too long in pocket and similar worries on poking myself when retrieving.

 

This previous version will last 4ever (a bit heavy) and I think the prongs on this one work slightly better. Ballmarker is useless though. Will go back to this once 2.5 breaks.

Worked like a charm. I forgot how quickly the prongs deploy when it's new and the mechanism isn't jammed with dirt and dead grass. Sproing! Lol.
