Cobra KING 3D Putter SIK face inserts denting/softness issues?

I had the salesperson at my local golf shop warn me off the Cobra King 3D SIK face putters the other day, saying they had to take several back due to the SIK face getting dented up.  He showed me a few of his demos that indeed had some tiny mars and dents on them, but I wasn't convinced it would affect putting. Just wondering if he was exaggerating or not. LOVE the putter & the tech. Anybody having an issue with the SIK face denting up AND the dents affecting accuracy?

Have not had an issue with it affecting putting, but there have been rumors for months of Cobra bringing out a fully milled line of these, which I imagine would be a bit stronger/durable.

I had one for awhile and the face is definitely soft, the way it's milled with the thin horizontal lines makes it prone to denting add to that it's made of aluminium and any sand caught between ball and club face will definitely result in dents.

 

Mine was getting a few dents mostly due to not Cleaning the ball on the green on wet days, didn't notice it effecting putting were only talking small dents nothing major, if they end up releasing a milled face putter with no aluminium insert I would be all over it the sik face does roll the ball well.

I have a bunch of small dings in mine. I’m pretty sure the insert is aluminum, which would explain the softness. However, it still rolls the ball like a champ, and I don’t see these tiny dings impacting the interaction with the ball.

I just assumed that the SIK face with the 1 2 3 4 degree segments was one of the things that made this putter better then the rest of the putters on earth. That tech seems pretty cool. The youtube video on it seemed pretty convincing.

I've seen a lot of these on the Bay with some pretty dinged up faces. I hope they release an all SS milled version, but I wonder if they will still be able to use this tech since SIK sold to LA Golf.
