Anyone know anything about these Kyoei blades?

I just impulse bought These and a set of trpx i8 iron shafts.  I had the Vega raf cm and regretted selling them years ago.  Now to my eye these are same/similar?  Any ideas on when they were made roughly (how old basically) and any info is appreciated.  I won’t have them in hand for a few weeks.

Never seen these before or that stamp but look just like heritage model. I'm sure these will be crazy soft, nice pick up.

The price was right and I got some trpx I-8 iron pulls to go in them and if I love them I will probably refinish the heads. I’m pretty stoked on the deal but we will see when they come.  This opened up Pandora’s box of my inner Ho and I may be sending back a few sets…..

Did you get the one or 2 star I-8 shafts?  I hope they work for you. I tried the I-9 and as big of a Xanadu fan I am from TRPX, their iron shafts just didn't work for me.

I had no idea there was even a star system but I will check now that you ask. Thanks!

 

Honestly my small blades are cemented in my bag and while I have fond memories of my old Vegas this is likely going to end up being a novelty like everything else.  So far my positive experience with carbon shafts has been roddio I-10s/I-8s, recoils, and the attas 10s.   I figured these should be ok, but I can see them sucking from a small shop too, who knows but this is more of a project I think.  I also grabbed some golds factory CBs on the cheap and could put them in there as well.  Not really sure the plan yet but really just more that I like tinkering projects and have some ingredients for that coming than expecting them to replace an old shoe.

Those will definitely dampen vibration and feel super soft. Let us know how it is

They look identical to Vega VM-01 which is also forge by Kiyoshi.
