Wouldn’t it be fun to come full circle? Of course, the “new” 36.5” shaft would have a different name, because they couldn’t just bring back the same old shaft we already knew, right? A bigger price tag and a brighter label for you to peel off… I can already see that coming true. 
 

FWIW, I’ve been using your “8i wedge shaft” build for 4-5 years now. I might have even tried it prior to joining the site. It just shows that it’s more important to know how/why something works rather than assuming this year’s “breakthrough” in shaft design is the answer you’ve been looking for… Decades later and a wedge shaft is still a wedge shaft. Who would have thought? 🤔

I really think they SHOULD re-introduce it, and call it DG WEDGE (thats what it was and is), and it will be a market winner, they can charge a few bucks more for than regular DG #9, and im convinced it would be the preferred shafts for OEMs like Titleist and others, who would benefit from the same re-introduction. The classic DG feel and looks, with more spin and easier to flight down than the DG #9.....how could that fail if marketing is done right?
It should be re-introduced as R, S and X flex, and TT will simply wipe competition off the marked.

What could possibly be better than the worlds most winning wedge shaft, with even lower launch and more spin, still with the classic Dynamic feel since 1942? 

No "sweat and sour soup" can compete with that, no matter how long its boiled, and all tools to make it is already there, so what are they waiting for?

OK? all you have to do, is to NAME it, and design the label, and make a price decision, its no rush as long as its available January 1. next year

Send me 0.1 USD for each shaft you make of them, and you can use my name on it 🙂

Opinion, i just got fitted for QI irons with Project X 6.0 @ 3/4" over and hard stepped once.  Would this wedge shaft in 6.0 or 6.5 be better at 3/4" over?  Or should i go with the Project X 6.0 to match?

Hard stepped means they made them stiffer to accommodate the extra length? I would suggest an iron shaft in your gap wedge. You should probably go with the stiffer 6.5 wedge shaft just because the extra length

Correct, i was told the hard step was due to the extra length and would simulate the feel/performance from the standard length i was hitting in store.

Did anyone ever report on this transition from IO 6.5 to the PX Wedge?

 

I am LOVING the PX IO 6.5 and think I could benefit from the PX Wedge.  I use my 58 around the greens primarily.  Use my 54 from 40-110 or so.
