Modus 120 vs TGI 80

I’m 37, 6’, 215lbs with no health issues. I was fit into Stealth irons with Modus 120 stiff shafts about a year ago. I was and still am hitting my 7 iron around 140 yards. Ultimately I didn’t buy the stealth irons. 1/2” long and 1* upright lie. Can’t remember the ball speed. 
 

Recently I took advantage of PXG’s 75% off a fitting promotion and was fit into KBS TGI 80 stiff graphite shafts. 7 iron ball speed around 80mph. 1/2” long and 2* upright lie.
 

I’m still hitting my 7 iron around 140 yards. 
 

The question is, does that seem right? With me being healthy and all things being equal, with my swing, does a 120g “stiff” steel shaft roughly equal an 80g “stiff” graphite shaft?

 

Normally I hit the ball fairly straight. On both launch monitors though, I was missing right. Was I possibly fit into “stiff” shafts to make dispersion tighter?

Of you are swinging the 7.iron at.80mph you should hit it further than 140

 

I think both shafts bit stiff for that speed and more like 105 r and pgi.70s would be bettet

Or you are using all arms and not proper form.  Take a lesson, I've been where you are.

TGI 80g = 78-85mph iron SS, and considered stiff profile.  KBS measures graphite shafts differently.  I have a set in storage, fine shafts, just didn't like how they felt.  I am near twice your age, 5'10, 215lbs, no health limitations, and use standard MMT 95S in T100 irons, carry 7i approx 145+yds. 

 

Check into what was done, if anything, to KBS TGI 80 stiff shafts.  I bought an aftermarket new set 3-PW.  For reference, each of those shafts cost $80 + install.  What PXG heads did you get, and did you pay an upgrade charge for the shafts?
