Super Stroke pulled me back in... unexpectedly

Ordered an Odyssey Stroke Lab 7 black off eBay for a stupid good price.  After accepting counter offer I paid and then looked at the pics.  It did not have the SL putter grip on it but a Super Stroke.  From the pictures it appeared to be around a 2.0 size which I have had in the past.  Good grips just not for me.  I wasn't too worried about it as I was just going to play with it over the winter and change the grip eventually.

 

Fast forward to yesterday evening when taking the club out of the box and on it is the square SS2r grip.  Always wanted to try it but never got around to it as I didn't want to try and fail another Super Stroke adventure.  Now this one has been well used but immediately had the "oh wow" sensation.  It fits my hands and LHL grip perfectly.  Rolled putts a lot last night with it on the practice mat and thoroughly enjoyed it.  I like that it is already broken in and of a firmer feel because of that.  I don't know how I'd like a new one that isn't broken in.

For some reason, SS 2.0 works well with my 7CH, but I don’t like them at all on my blades. Warming up to SS 1.0, but much prefer pistol grips on blades.

On my blade putter I haven't found a better grip for me than the Lamkin Deep Etched Cord

I've messed around with a few putters with the deep etched in the used section and liked them a lot.  Never knew they had a cord version though which sounds perfect
