Small Cart Bag?

So, I basically walk every round I can.  Have one of the superlight stand bags that I love.  However, it seems more and more, I'm playing courses that require cart etc etc.  My superlight bag just doesn't do well on a cart.  Not a fan of the fairly large cart bags that seem to be popular, ie sun mountain c130.  Is there a cart bag that people like that is fairly compact?  I know I'm not going for superlight, but just something a little less than what I'm seeing.  It's hard too, as I'm in a golf desert and can't see many in person.

Hoofer would be a good option.  Base is nice and flat, and has a cart strap pass thru that keeps it in place on a cart.  If want to go more compact, Hoofer Lite is an option.

I’d actually like to go straight cart bag for this one. 
 

SM does have a canvas and leather one on their site that looks pretty slim

Does the jones have a spine, and how does it do on the cart?

 

I do have a mac, and I know some people use that, but I figure if I'm going cart bag, i can get some more pockets for stuff.

No spine, but the way the cart strap sits in the handle it's a non issue.  Works well for me, but I don't carry much at all.  There's decent pocket space, but it doesn't have the # of pockets a cart bag will have.

well no worries, it's off season so plenty of time to figure it out
