Ping Cushin BeCu

I’ve seen a bunch of MgBr Cushins but I’ve never seen a BeCu version. Can anyone give me any info on these? Thanks!

Unfortunately, that rascal is not a BeCu model.  It is just an example of a slightly different blend of the MgBr that all PING putters from that era are made of.   I have seen a lot of examples of this sort of a variance in color, over the years.  It has fooled me on occasion and probably will, again.

The BeCu putters included a couple of PAL models, Anser, Anser2, and Anser4.  I believe there was also a ZING model in the BeCu and that little voice in my head is telling me that I have forgotten one.

Cool putter, even with its lack of BeCu-ness.

Interesting. I’ve owned my fair share of both BeCu Ping putters as well as MgBr. The BeCu’s have always been browner when they take on patina and that pinkish hue that copper has when cleaned. The MgBr always has a gold hue regardless of clean or with patina. This one is definitely pinkish once I Coked it. Thanks for the info.

Previous owner used some sort of metal polish on it which removed the patina.  It’s Manganese Bronze.

Here's a becu one I have alongside SS and mgbrz. 

 

Deep chocolatey patina, big Z bend shaft, no slot on sole (although occasionally I think some MgBrz ones with no slot show up)

I have BeCu Cushin too. They're pretty rare.
