Finally a Superstroke I can get along with...

I'm writing this in hopes that it has been on the putter long enough that the honeymoon period is over also from a LHL perspective.  After years of swapping back and forth between superstroke, non-superstroke, and what seems everything in-between I may have settled finally on the Claw 1.0 grip.  I was using the Lamkin deep etched cord and while that was great, I was missing some comfort with it.  I have tried the GT/GTR Tour, 1.0, 2.0, SS2R, Tour, 1.0,2.0, 3.0, Flatso, Claw 2.0 (great just a bit too big) and a few i'm sure I forgot.  The SS2R was great for the blocked shape, the GT/gtr 1.0 was amazing with the shape mixed with the pistol feel, the Flatso was probably the best out of all of them but it was missing the pistol upper.

 

Fast forward to the Claw 1.0 deal that popped up on ebay for me.  I liked the Claw 2.0 except it was just too big.  The Claw 1.0 came in the mail and as soon as I opened it, I knew I had a winner.  It was the baby of the GT/GTR 1.0 and Flatso 1.0.  It's essentially the Flatso 1.0 with a pistol style upper.  What a great combination of feel. 

 

It is large enough that it still keeps your wrists from flipping and moving (like the SS design is intended) but comfortable enough that it allows me to still feel a release of the putter.  I have been putting with it everyday and it just sits in my hands like no other grip ever has before.  It sits exactly where it should.  No added pressure or manipulation, just putting with a soft and gentle touch.  What a wonderful feel it gives.  This mixed with my new Strokelab 7s black is a feel from a putter that I haven't had in a long time, maybe ever.  I love my custom Bastain Milled that I have but there is just something about this one that it is now in the starting line up.

Nice! I’ve been swapping around between about a dozen grips, but when you know, you know. That’s one grip I haven’t tried yet. Hmmmm🤔

 

One thing I’ve learned is that a grip you hate on one putter might be perfect on another. And sometimes the first go around sucks, but second try is a winner. 
 

Might have to get my hands on one if these.

yup, honeymoon is still going strong.  Will pick it up every few days and the grip still feels great.  So glad I found this
