You can but I tend to close the face down at impact currently playing the m3 17°. Therefore i would like to have the factory loft beginning at 16.5°

Besides every “15°” head doesn’t exactly measure to 15° they are all off marginally.

Question. If you can “just increase the loft” then why do they even make the 16.5° ? 🧐

 

It’s all relative to the COG.

It is not physically possible to adjust loft with any adapter type without also altering the face angle. Some (Callaway and Titleist) allow you to adjust lie angle independently from loft/face angle while adapters from TM/Cobra/Mizuno are altering all three at the same time whether you want to or not, but obviously that's not the same thing.

I've been down a rabbit hole with testing divers for the past few months. I've been looking for all the forgiveness I can get, without giving up much ball speed. I've tested just about every head.  I haven't played a Callaway driver since the Epic. Maybe that's why it was the last I tried. I wish I started there.  The Smoke Max is exactly what I've been looking for. I'm still dialing it in but I'm extremely impressed.  Whatever shaft I put in it, no matter how bad I'm swinging that day, I'm getting better results than anything I've tested in a long time. 

 

I haven't seen much info on the Denali Black on here. I have been playing a Ventus Black or PX Hulk for the past several years. I've had all three, tipped the same in this head over the past few weeks and I actually prefer the feel of the Denali over the other two. Performance is very similar for all three. I like to play a fade but find it a little easier to draw the Denali, when needed. Nice stock offering for those it fits.

I bet if you generated heat maps for your strike pattern with Ventus Black, Hulk, and Denali Black the strike pattern for Denali Black would be slightly more toe-side than the other two. This would explain the DB being more willing to turn the ball over.

Depends how that decal is painted on. 
 

Do you currently have one? If so it will be easy to tell if decal removal will be an easy job or a PITA. I have mine ordered but still in queue to ship.

Ai smoke triple Diamond driver is straight fire once you get the correct spin numbers and launch. It’s a ridiculously low spin driver.
