Kyoei KK MB. Are they that good?

Looking to get a set of Kyoei KK MB. They are hard to come by. Any experience with these would be much appreciated.

I played mp33's for 20 years. Have 221s and Miura 1957 blades. All are fantastic. Are Kyoei's a step above?

Kyoei forgings are quality. I don't think anyone will dispute that. Is this MB design good? I can;t answer that.

I gamed the Miura small blades for years. I’m gaming the the kyoei kcm blades since the summer. They are very different from the 57 blades, but I think even though different sides of spectrum, if you like the 57s you would like the kyoei blades.

I've had both. The KK MB raw were so soft and looked incredible. The BB's had a very different feel--harder. Regret getting rid of both of them but would get the BB's again if I had the time to practice/play more often..

Just my opinion the Kyoei's are good but they won't blow your socks off. There's so many great options out there. I also am a purist and don't like the stronger 4 and 5 irons. I just noticed the dual weight 605 mb's dont do that and look like a bit more of a players' iron with very little offset. Have never seen them in person.

From the reviews I’ve read Kyoei is the A1 iron. Im soon to hit them against mizuno and Miura and I’m guessing they will all be great. I’ve read masda or epon. Let me know if I’m missing any that would surprise me.

Masda's are great but the older model is better than the new ones. There's 3 versions. The second one is the best. Theres so many different ones but A grind, Orion, Baldo, Axis. Not sure what you have access to.

Miura is still the top dog to me, they are the gold standard imo. Just got a set of Fujimoto FT-1 MB that I can’t wait to play though.

Interesting.. If Miura = Top Dawg.. It would be like a Porsche to me... However Fujimoto = Bugatti ..

Dunno how others feel.. but Miura does not even have $4k an iron cost.. lol

I'm a scratch. I just hit 20 yr old mp33, 223, miura 1957 bb, mizuno 221, kyoei dual weight II. Yeah they are all the same. They all feel good. After reading all these posts about irons being softer or better. Wrong. They are all the same iron.

+1 Fujimoto… deserves more mention.. at Japan Golf Fair recently, the founder was there with his son and grandson.. can clearly see their soul is in the brand.. full house through out the 3 days, people trying out their iron models.. i would say more popular than many other JDM brands there

KM700 irons are very lovely looking and the feel is fulfilling (solid/densely soft).. if that make sense

Fujimoto has a clean look and the feel is just as soft but a hair less solid/dense than Miura in my opinion.

if anyone likes Miura’s feel, one must try Fujimoto too..
