Best video system for live view of golf swing.

I’m looking for a camera system to use that I can sync to my phone or tablet to view my swing in real time. What systems would ya’ll recommend.

Mirror Vision, though it's been a year since the last update. It's also well established, so maybe there's just not much to add to it.

The LiveViewSports.com system is highly functional. But it is also pricey since, on the surface, it does nothing that cannot be done with a phone or tablet alone (you have to purchase a separate camera retailing at $350 or $650).

The BIG thing that LiveView has going for it is how you can set your screen up such that you can see what you are doing from your address position and control the camera from your address position. Then you can move the camera anywhere you want but the controls are always RIGHT THERE and what you want to see is always RIGHT THERE. This is huge (vs. doing it with just a phone app alone) IMHO.

One thing to keep in mind is that the lower cost version is SD level quality 640x480. This is very noticeable in my experience but that is not the same as not usable. The more expensive system is of higher quality.

The function that I really like allows you to just turn on your camera. It detects (via audio in my case) impact and only stores a couple seconds before and after impact. That is really handy. I have found it to be very reliable (using whiffle balls in my back yard). But not when it is REALLY windy or when the landscape guys are running their blowers on the yard next door. I am not sure how it might perform at a range full of golfers. There is a version that detects your swing by what it sees on the screen. I believe this is only on the higher level version and, since they went to the trouble to do this, I suspect it is an issue for my lower level device.

But this system is powerful enough to change how you use video, IMHO.

I've started a program with Eric Cogorno, and he uses Live View - its a bit pricey for me at the moment but its definitely on a future Christmas list. Seems like it would be a perfect compliment for practice.

I use LiveView in well over half of my practice sessions. It can be finicky but I find it to be indispensable, nonetheless. I had the original and then upgraded to the current (very expensive) model.

Someone needs to buy this co. and aggressively market it. It’s a great product, especially for cleaning up your takeaway.
