Golf club storage

What are you guys using to store your clubs?
 

I have dozens of iron sets and wedge sets and shafts. I am trying to find a good solution to store them where I can also easily grab them and take them out to play and see what I have. 
 

in typical WRX fashion, I actually bought a set of irons I already had and forgot. 
 

please skip the keep them in a bag solution. I have 6 bags and it’s a pain to always see what you have. 
 

Bonus points if it is a DIY shelf or something. Please include pics. 
 

I need to organize all this stuff.

I keep this setup next to my sim, along with two stand bags and my two cart bags. I use the stand bag at the hitting area to keep the clubs that are in-use, and the rack holds the rest of the items I want outside of the utility room. It was a pre-cut kit off of eBay for about $100. 
 

I had gotten the black stand with the wedges there off Amazon and it was fine, but it’s not good for repeated use for two reasons (one of which is relevant to the rack): 1) To get the club into the appropriate stand on the base is annoying, and 2) Using mostly Winn grips, they get damaged if you aren’t too careful. 
 

I think you can get a taller or wider rack, or multiples, and be a happy camper.

What are the dimensions of the wood rack?

About $60 at Home Depot and one afternoon screwing it all together.  Works great!

The rack is 2x2x2’ and can hold over 100 irons. The seller is still on ebay, and his product is: https://www.ebay.com/itm/324753495012

 

The larger dimensions shown in this thread are much closer to what you would find in a golf shop selling used clubs. Walls and walls of wooden racks. Definitely a DIY possibility!

I think they are actually 1 X 3.  I had a vision of what I wanted to do and then just kinda looked around at Home Depot for pieces that I thought would work.  I really don't have any skills... I just like to tinker.  I'd seen really nice club racks that were similar though and thought, "I could do that". And this has worked out great.

Figured it is more than you need, but it is the concept and it seems that it is one of the standard ways of storing a massive amount of golf clubs. They arrange by sets, clubs, shaft flex, loft, etc. Very organized and up and out of the way.

The golf WRX’r in me would build this and fill in a heartbeat…. A dream come true. 

my wife on the other hand would divorce me and leave me illiquid with the contents of said rack.

I believe its 36 inches square if you measure from the outside dimensions of the legs.  The leg pieces are 2x2 and the 1x3's were precut at 36 inches.  So if you screw them into the inside edges of the legs, you effectively knock 2 inches off each end and shorten the pieces to 32 inches.  That's a good length to make sure whatever club you put in there, the head will make it over one leg and the grip will reach the other side to rest there.

I can’t believe that this type of thread has not been brought up before.
