Similar. IMO, it's close to being the same ball. But, the new one has more bite around the greens and has a slight crisper feel. I gamed 22 BX last year along side CSX and CSX was a few yards longer. This year CTX is longer than CSX by a few yards. So, 24 BX is 8-10 yards shorter than CTX. Hope that helped answer your question haha. Of course, this has been my experience and miles may vary per swing dynamics.

You found ‘24 BX 8-10 yds shorter than CTX with all clubs or just driver? And what are your appx swing speeds? I need to get on a Trackman again, soon.

It was when during testing with the test pack I received back in Feb. I used CTX, CSX, CT, BX. TP5X. BX was the shortest for me (cold wet weather). However, I've been gaming them recently and they are def not shorter than CTX. Pretty close. Really a big feel difference. Maybe it was the cold air or the test ball pack that made BX the shortest? Who knows lol

Interesting. How would rank the above balls in terms of feel, softest to firmest off of your mid irons? How about spin, if you tested on a LM?

I did not get spin numbers, more on course testing. The only spin #'s I got were CTX vs CT

TP5X, CTX are interchangeable

The cool thing about ball testing, is even though BX, CTX, TP5X are all pretty firm, they each present a unique feel. BX feels most crispy as far as pitch and immediate cover interaction, but the ball compresses making it feel slightly softer than the other two. Whereas, CTX has a softer cover but super dense feeling firmer core. IMO TP5X sits right in the middle of those two.

I did some Trackman testing tonight. CTX and '24 BX were very similar in full wedges, and driver data. I was just doing it by taking pics of the data, and of each ball, so I guess I missed some of my BX 7 iron shots. They seemed similar there too, but I’ll do one more session with mid irons. V1 was extremely consistent off of wedge, and 7 iron, though shorter, and it was much shorter off the driver for me than the rest.

*Some More Detailed Observations: Between the BX and CTX, the BX seemed to land a little steeper with all clubs. I was getting slightly better ball speed, and smash with the CTX and driver (1.49x BX vs 1.50 and 1.51 with CTX), only good for a couple yards difference there, so negligible and it likely came down to estimated roll out/land angle. I was launch both balls around 15-16.9* with driver set at 9*, hitting anywhere from 3.5 to 5 up on the ball. The CTX did flirt with the bleeding edge of acceptable low spin with the driver, and a couple shots probably got down too low, even though they spat out appealing trackman distances. And the BX consistently flew at a higher height than the CTX with the driver.

Overall, these results basically confirm what I saw on the course. I will say that the CTX seems to have more check on shorter chips and pitches, as I tested that out prior to getting on the Trackman. And, the CTX feels a bit softer off the putter, even an insert putter. BX is still definitely more durable for me. Again, I would like to hit some more mid irons with both balls, as it is down to these two.
