Wishon 939 - pics added

I am looking to upgrade my 5 iron to a hybrid. I also have a Wishon 939 5 iron designed with a wider sole to help get the ball into the air. It works well and is good looking. Does anyone else make this type of club?

And when you say does anyone else make this type of club are you referring to the 939H iron or a 5 hybrid to replace it?

Wishon 939 was a hollow body iron in the 7-6-5-4, with a wide sole an added bounce on the leading edge/sole if I'm not mistaken.

A forerunner of most of the current OEM snot - filled shovel rockets.

Ok....the good news is everyone has at least one design, there are variations of goo filled, not goo filled, etc.  Looks like Wishon was well ahead of the game 🤫.....don't tell the OEM snobs🤭....that blunted leading edge on the 939 look fabulous.  He had that on the 752tc and the 765ws....I'm sure there are others (microgroove hm wedge was another).  I wish he had at least one option  currently that offered that sole design!  

 

Without knowing the specs on that design it would be hard to give a recommendation....as a lot of the designs look like a blade but are much bigger than a traditional blade in reality.  Sub 70 has the 699 and 699 Pro.....I think there is a Utility specific version as well as full sets.  I do not think the leading edge has the bevel.

 

Cleveland ... The UHX, Launcher XL (I believe there is last year and.a newer versions) they all have the Srixon'ish sole design.  IMO they look very good!

 

There are many many more, if you can narrow down the general size, offset, leading edge, OEM vs DTC vs. component you might get some nibbles🙃
