Swing speed

Any good exercises to help with swing speed? I’ve measured recently with my club head and butt of club. The butt of the club is 20-40mph faster than my club head. For example my driver is about 92-94 and with the butt end of the club I’m 115-120. 3 wood is about 80ish with head and 108-115 with the butt of club. 7 iron is 90s with butt and mid 70s with the head. I didn’t think it would be that significant. Haha

How are you measuring the speed at the handle?

Swing speed radar. I assume it’s not valid then? I’ll have to try it on a Trackman tomorrow. I was messing around and was wondering swinging the butt end across the radar and holding the club near the head.

Yeah it's not an accurate measurement and I'm pretty sure that device doesn't even have the capability to measure the handle. Neither does Trackman. Do you have it on Baseball settings instead of golf?

Ok. It definitely feels faster on the other end. Lol

It’s lighter, of course it will be faster. The question is, are you doing something when yiu hit a ball that’s slowing you down.

the driver head is approx 200g and has a much greater air drag factor, the handle is with a 50g grip and has less drag. I employ the stack system and when I load up 200g, I swing at 110 at the fastest but when I load up 50g im at 130mph.

I wonder who's rolling over in their grave... Someone has found a way to measure their SS in such a way it's faster than otherwise. There are countless people who wish their SS were faster, can't wait to see how that was achieved... 🙂
