Looking for a good deal on a Range finder

Bushnell Tour v2 (Bushnell Scout 1000)

I have been thinking for some time about getting a range finder. I have borrowed a Bushnell 1500. Works awesome. Unfortunately I am cheap, but don't like to sacrifice quality. So found the Bushnell tour v2 to be what I was looking for since it was a little cheaper, but still to much $$$. After a little research found the Bushnell Scout 1000 (exactly the same as the tour v2) can be had for $209 at walmart.com. Then went to Bushnell.com shopping and found they have a $50 mail in rebate on this model. So after tax and shipping $175 for one of the better range finders on the market.

Just giving a heads up to other cheapo's like me

you may want to do a little more research, i believe the Scout 1000 does not have the Pinseeker technology built in which helps acquire the flag when there is something behind the pin like the Tour V2 has.

I think it is the same as the bullseye on the Scout. Maybe someone could confirm or dismiss?

From everything I could read, the bullseye technology is exactly the same as Pinseeker technology, just different names and different prices. I could be wrong, but once I receive my Scout, I will let you know.

 

I will compare it to the Pinseeker 1500 and find out how they compare.

Too late guys... I've been waiting to buy one until after I was sure I didn't owe too much to the IRS this year.

 

Walmart is out of stock. I checked, Sports Authority, Dicks and a few others. Cabellas and BassPro has them but no price matching.

Go with the ship to you home option, the site to store takes forever. Ordered on the 12th, not expected to be at the store until the 29th. Way too long. For the extra couple dollars, go direct to home if you hate waiting.

From everything I could read, the bullseye technology is exactly the same as Pinseeker technology, just different names and different prices. I could be wrong, but once I receive my Scout, I will let you know.

Same same. I believe some versions of the hunting models with the ARC also calculate ballistics for you as well. But, regardless, i have a Scout, and it works great, and i paid way less than a new 1500, so i'm happy.

Got it yesterday. This rangefinder is awesome. It is exactly the same as the Tour v2 (except no special edition colors.)

 

For the price, there is no better deal on rangefinders. $175-$190 depending on shipping and tax. This is a steal.

 

If you ever wanted a rangefinder get one from walmart.com and enjoy.

Has anyone tried both the Bushnell Pinseeker 1500 Tournament Edition and the Callaway (Nikon) LR1200 Tournament?

 

Which of the 2 is "better"? And why?

 

I am leaning toward the Bushnell 1500 Tournament but would like to hear everyone's opinion. Thanks in advance.

I have not tried the Callaway but I have tried the other and love it. Just an FYI, the elite 1500 with out arc is the exact same as the 1500 TE. Amazon had them for 315.00 and free shipping.

So the Bushnell Elite 1500 is for hunters whereas the 1500 TE is for golfers? Are they identically the same except for the labelling? Do you see the same exact thing when you look into the viewfinder?

Hasn't gone up at Overstock.com yet, still $240, got mine with 10%off coupon and $1 shipping. Their return policy isn't good so make sure you want before you buy. With the rebate the cost is around $170

I heard that some people(other vendors) complained to bushnell about walmarts price, and then they raised it. Go overstock.com. Cheaper shipping and better price.

Just recieved my Scout 1000 from Overstock.com. Took it out of the box and I was hitting pins at 200 yards, no problem. Great product. Recommended.

I was worried that the V2 Pinseeker and the Scout 1000 Bullseye technologies were different, but I called Bushnell and verified that they were identical. The woman told me that the only difference between the two was that they were marketed differently. (Golf device being more expensive)

 

Best Bang for your Buck hands down... For $169.00, I got the Bushnell V2 with pinseeker. ($359.00 in stores)
