AP2 with Project X.....Anyone get Flighted????

Which shaft is standard with the AP2's? Is it the regular Project X or the Flighted version? What are most of you getting?

Regular PX is standard, and I really like it in the AP2. I was surprised Titleist didn't include the PX Flighted on the fitting carts, but now I know why. Guys that want a little higher launch are LOVING the Dynamic Gold High Launch in these heads!

I'm not sure if I'm right, but wouldn't the kick point in the flighted PX be in the same spot as the standard PX in a 6 iron. I know the kick point would be higher in the flighted low irons and lower in the flighted high irons. But shouldn't it be in the same spot in the flighted and standard PX? Maybe that's why it's not part of the fitting cart. Maybe if the fitting cart also came with 9 and 3 irons they would have the flighted and standard versions. Just a thought.

I have the PX flighted in the AP2s. The short irons are not different (at least I couldn't tell), my 4 and 5 definitely have a higher kick point and give me definitely higher ball flight. I know the short irons are theoretically meant to hit the ball lower and have more of a controlled flight, but I can't tell the difference.

 

Overall, I would consider flighted if you are a low ball hitter. I have NOT tried the DG high launch, however.

I have the flighted PX 6.0 in my AP2's, and i love them. The weight is more in line with the DGS300 i came from, and the flight is very penetrating in all irons. I definitely recommend this shaft, based on the piercing ballflight, that PX advertises... my 5.5 PX tended to balloon on me.
