I just saw that rory is playing the new adams 9015-D driver what shaft is he playing in it and is he still playing the bty prototype, does he still have the f7m2 in it. Also is he still with Harrison with his hybrids because I do not see him advertised on Harrisons website anymore?Lets have a positive rory link, please.

I think Golf Magazine did a WITB with Rory and he has an IROD in his hybrid. Don't know if that has changed though.

Where did you see Rory is playing the 9015-D? In the Wachovia pics provided by coco it does not look like the 9015-D unless they added red color to the sole. And that shaft looks like a Matrix to me which in the WITB in Golf Digest it says he is playing the XTD Pro w/Matrix F7M2. Maybe it's the 9016 but that is just my observation.

Are you sure it is the 9016d and not the 9015d do you have a source, how can you tell the difference? Thanks for the info.

The shaft he is playing is a Pured XCon F7M2 xx-flex (plays a little tip soft)

 

I have hit a R5 Tour Head with this shaft in it and it is a monster.

Are you sure it is not a aldila voodoo shaft, I heard from someone he was trying that shaft? Is he still using the prototype bty 3 wood?

Not only didn't he know about Tiger's knee, he also doesn't realize he can't win being 16 shots behind....At least with the Nike he used to make a decent paycheck.

I'm going to be ordering 9.5 9015D and slapping on a Ozik F7M2 and see how that compares up with my J33R 9.5 w/ Whiteboard, should be an interesting battle.

I will be interested to see how you hit the F7M2...I have the F6M2 in my Nike head and it is the longest, most accurate shaft I have ever played.

 

I was the biggest skeptic of ozik until about a week ago, now I am turning into a fanboy!!!

 

The other great shaft for these Adams heads is the Prolaunch Platinum...an absolute monster in the tour Adams Square

Rory Sabbatini WITB - Golf World June 2008

 

Driver: My driving accuracy has improved this year. I use the Adams Insight XTD Tour (9.5 degress, 44.5 inches, Matrix F7M2 Shaft, X-flex).

 

Fairway Wood: I like a little smaller looking 3 wood. This is my Adams BTY, a 14.5 degree bent to 14 (43.5 inches, Matrix F7M2 X-flex).

 

Utilities: I've never been a strong 2-iron player, and my hybrids (Adams Idea a3 prototypes, 18 and 20 degrees: Harrison Impulse Tour, X-flex) help me launch shots high that I can still work,

 

Irons: These irons (Adams Idea a3 4-PW with True Temper Black Gold X-flex) were the first ones I tesed when I switched to Adams this year. I'm trying white X-Evolution grips from a Japanese company called Iomic.

 

Wedges: I go with two wedges (both Titleist Vokey custom-grind). One is 56 degrees bent to 55, and the other is 60. I don't tinker much; I let the equipment guys do their thing.

 

Putter: I've been using this putter a little more than a year, including my win at Colonial. It's a customized Odyssey Black Series i, No. 9, 33 inches.

 

Ball: I started using Callaway's new Tour ix ball this year. I mark a red line on it to help with my putting alignment.
