Longest driver I've tried

Anybody else hit this longer and straighter than any other driver out there right now?

I just got one today and have only had a chance to hit balls with it at the range. Straight and long. Longer than my Ping G10. Can't wait to take it on the course.

No -- sent mine back to Callaway for an Adams XTD Pro -- which is longer and straighter for me.

I average about 290-300 per drive and have hit a few drives 350+, not too shabby. Can work the ball both ways easily which is a nice plus and gives me the perfect launch angle for my 115-120mph swing speed. Cant really ask for more.

My FT-5 9.5 Tour with a Ozik Xcon5 is much longer than a few others I currently own.

Longer than my Rapture with a Whiteboard and longer than several set ups of the original Burner with various shafts such as VS Proto\Altus.

The FT-5 is a tremendous driver, extremely lively. I am however waiting for the Adams Pro XTD 9.5 with the YS-Q that I have on order. This will be the next showdown in a week or so.

Hi ,

Agreed this is one long driver. It's still not as long as my old FT-3 Tour. That thing was crazy long. I believe I'm giving up distance but the forgiveness and accuracy of the FT-5 is worth it. I still prefer the sound of the FT-3 though.

Oh they are long aren't they? Really fun to hit. I have more control with my 905R but just cannot leave that extra distance in my trunk. Longest driver I've played and I've whored some long ones.

Even some newer demos (L4V, G10, Sumo 5900) couldn't touch it. You get the point, they're all shorter than the beast.

Try the Geek DCT and you will soon drop the FT5. My list is even longer than yours! Yes I am truly a driver ho! But this DCT head is flat out fantastic. As I have said in other posts, I have yet to find one person who didnt like it. If it said TaylorMade on the base, they would sell millions.

Yep, I would say the G10 is the 2nd best one out there for me at the mo. The DCT spins less and launches lower, i.e. the 10.5° head really is 10.5°, whereas the G10 9° head is really 10.5°.
